What is Skyactiv Technology?
Skyactiv technology was developed by Mazda to improve the fuel efficiency of their vehicles and increase engine output. It was introduced in their products from 2011 onwards. This technology includes new engines, transmissions, bodies, and chassis. It is now available in various models of the Mazda brand. It also improves the comfort and driving experience of its owners.
SKYACTIV-D
The SKYACTIV-D technology in the Mazda6 and CX-5 is a step towards cleaner and more efficient cars. The new SKYACTIV-D engine utilizes two-stage turbochargers to enhance power. The result is an increase in torque of up to 10% and reduced exhaust emissions. The new design also eliminates the need for expensive exhaust after-treatment systems.
The SKYACTIV-G gas engine features a record compression ratio of 14:1. This compression ratio is unprecedented for mass-production gasoline engines, and it enables the SKYACTIV-G gas engine to deliver excellent fuel economy and improved performance.
